Official: Russia complies with sanctions against North Korea

MOSCOW, Jan 9 (PRIME) – Moscow complies with the international sanction regime against North Korea fully, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson told PRIME on December 30, 2017 following a Reuters report that Russian tankers exported oil to North Korea several times in October and November 2017 in violation of the sanctions.

“Russia fully and rigorously complies with the sanctions regime. We would like to reiterate that there are quotas for supplies of fuel, or products of oil refining, there was no complete ban in resolution 2397. The 1718 committee controls compliance with the sanction regime,” the representative said.
